 Three suspects have been arrested and are set to be arraigned Friday, after a man went out in Anaheim on New Year’s Eve expecting to go on a date with a woman he met online and instead ended up getting assaulted, robbed, and carjacked, according to Anaheim Police. Police have arrested the woman, 20-year-old Alexis Songbryd, and the two alleged attackers, 20-year-old DeJohn Mitchell and 21-year-old Donnis Grimes. They are being held at the Anaheim Police Department Detention Facility on $1 million bail each, and are scheduled to be arraigned Friday. The victim, whose name has not been disclosed, arrived to the 800 block of S. Cornwall Drive around 9 p.m. on Tuesday. Police say that Mitchell and Grimes then assaulted him with a knife and simulated handgun, and forced him to drive them to several ATMs in Anaheim to withdraw money. The suspects beat the victim severely, breaking his nose and several facial bones, police said. They forced the victim out of his own car, left him on the street, and drove away, according to police. Police believe the trio has committed this type of crime before, and are asking anyone who may have more information or may have been a victim themselves to report it to the Anaheim Police Department.  A former banker accused of faking his own death in 2012 to cover up the theft of millions of dollars has been arrested after a traffic stop in Georgia, authorities said. Aubrey Lee Price, 47, was arrested on Tuesday after Glynn County sheriff’s deputies stopped him on Interstate 95 in Brunswick, Ga., and discovered his identity, NBC station WXIA of Atlanta reported. Heavily tinted windows in a 2006 Dodge Ram pickup truck were his downfall, according to the Florida Times-Union. Price was wanted in connection with an investment scheme in New York in which he is alleged to have stolen millions between January 2011 and January 2012, the FBI said. He was accused of moving $21 million into accounts to hide his thefts and losses from investments and trading when he was a director of a southern Georgia bank. He was last seen in Key West, Fla., on June 16, 2012, boarding a ferry for Fort Myers after telling acquaintances in a letter that he had lost a large amount of money in his trading and planned to kill himself by jumping overboard, according to the FBI and an indictment. He was charged with wire fraud on June 28, 2012. The FBI said he had ties to Florida and to Venezuela and Guatemala, and the indictment states that some of the losses occurred on investments in South America. He was due for a court appearance Thursday at the federal courthouse in Brunswick, Georgia, NBC station WBBH of Fort Myers reported. He could face up to 30 years in prison.  Police are searching for at least two men who wore ski masks and shot a man in Huntington Beach early Thursday morning. Police said the victims were specifically targeted. Police responded to the 8300 block of Lambert Drive around 3:23 a.m. following a call from a male adult resident who had been shot inside a residence by several unknown assailants. The 29-year-old was shot twice in the chest and rushed to UCI Medical Center in Orange for surgery. Police said the man was in critical but stable condition and was expected to survive. A friend of the victim's, who only wanted to be identified as "Joe," said he spent the past few nights on the couch at the house. Two masked men walked through the unlocked front door, according to the friend, who was sleeping on the couch. He woke up to them pointing a gun at his face. During the investigation, detectives seized a quantity of drugs and an unspecified amount of U.S. currency from the residence. A firearm believed to be the weapon in the shooting was also located and seized. Police said there were indicators of ongoing criminal activity inside the residence, and believe the residence was targeted. A witness who was present during the incident was questioned. Investigators said the victims did not recognize the multiple intruders. Officers went door-to-door and scoured the areas near the crime scene for clues, and collected bags of evidence.  A driver was killed Thursday morning after crashing off a San Fernando Valley freeway and into the concrete-walled Tujunga Wash. A body was discovered in a car on its side in the Tujunga Wash off the northbound Hollywood Freeway in the San Fernando Valley, California Highway Patrol officials said. The vehicle, a 2008 black Cadillac, was discovered at about 7:15 a.m. by Fire Station 86. At 7:30 a.m., the Los Angeles Fire Department tweeted that the fatal collision occurred in the 430o block of Vineland Avenue. The deceased has been identified as a 31-old-male from Woodland Hills, says California Highway Patrol Officer Leland Tang. It's not yet clear what exactly happened, Tang said, but the vehicle appeared to have veered off the 101 freeway, through some bushes and into the flood control channel known as the Tujunga Wash.  Two people were found dead Thursday following a fire inside a Whittier home. The blaze was reported at 7:20 a.m. in the second-floor of an apartment over a garage in the 13500 block of Via Del Palma Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. One wittiness, Hilda Ortiz stated that she seen a lot of smoke coming out, and her husband tried to help the landlord to open the front door to try and get the hose Ortiz’s husband was unable to make it into the home before firefighters arrived on scene. The fire was knocked down at 7:35 a.m., according to officials. Ortiz said a few hours before the incident she heard two men arguing inside the apartment. Ortiz also mentioned that she could hear pretty loud arguing coming from the victims’ apartment before the fire broke out. Police and fire investigators are investigating the incident as suspicious.  An armed suspect robbed three separate men within 10 minutes of each other in Santa Ana Monday, police said. The suspect shot his third victim in the leg. The first robbery occurred on the 400 block of North Grand around 9:45 p.m. Police say the suspect revealed a firearm and robbed two men. The victims followed the suspect, but shortly lost sight of him. A second robbery was reported 10 minutes later on the 1000 block of East Fourth Street. In this incident, the victim followed the suspect. He then turned and shot him in the leg. Bloodhounds were able to link the two robberies, but police are still searching for the suspect.  The bodies of a man, woman and two children were found in a home in Fontana on Monday, police said. Southern California authorities investigating the deaths of two children, a woman and a man in a home say evidence so far indicates a possible murder-suicide. However, detectives will continue to investigate before coming to that conclusion. it was reported that police responding to the home at 8:30 p.m. Monday found the bodies of a 12-year-old girl, an approximately 10-year-old boy and the two adults between the ages of 30 and 35. It was also reported that the children and woman had multiple gunshot wounds and the man had a single wound to the head. A handgun was found at the scene. No identities have been released. The female passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. The male driver had to be extricated from the vehicle. He was transported to Northridge Medical Center with serious injuries. He is now listed in stable condition and is facing DUI charges. Police say they found beer cans inside the driver's jacket pocket.  A female suspect has been arrested for allegedly shooting two male victims in South Los Angeles. Two brothers were shot at a South Los Angeles home in what police are describing as a domestic dispute. Los Angeles police said a woman shot the brothers around 5:25 a.m. Monday on the 2300 block of West 74 Street, near Van Ness Avenue. The two victims were shot several times. They are in critical but stable condition. The woman was taken into custody, but she has not been booked for a crime. The ages of the victims and the suspect were not immediately released.  An unarmed security guard was shot to death outside an apartment complex in Marina Del Rey Monday. The search is on for whoever is responsible. The incident occurred outside the Shores apartment complex on the 4200 block of Via Marina Court just before 2:45 a.m. "Deputies discovered an adult African-American male suffering from gunshot wounds. He was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene," said Los Angeles County Sheriff's Lt. Dave Dolson. The victim's name was withheld pending notification of kin. Homicide Bureau detectives were handling the investigation, and say a murder in this area is very unusual. The city is a top attraction for both locals and tourists, and hosts several inns and hotels. Neighbors were stunned to learn of the shooting in this usually low-crime area. One person told investigators they saw the suspect flee the scene, and described him as an African-American male, wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt. The investigation is ongoing.
