A man was booked on suspicion of DUI in a crash that killed his female passenger in Van Nuys Monday. A man was booked on suspicion of DUI in a crash that killed his female passenger in Van Nuys Monday. LAPD responded to the collision near Roscoe and Balboa boulevards around 12:30 a.m.  According to police, the vehicle was traveling westbound at a high rate of speed when it crossed into the opposite side and hit a power line. The female passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. The male driver had to be extricated from the vehicle. He was transported to Northridge Medical Center with serious injuries. He is now listed in stable condition and is facing DUI charges. Police say they found beer cans inside the driver's jacket pocket. Roscoe Boulevard was closed between Hayvenhurst Avenue and Balboa Boulevard for several hours following the incident. Story provided by: ABC7 News
